Shipping Facts

Fact One
Each Faidley's award winning lump crab cake is made to order. There is no mass production. Actually, Nancy Devine, owner of Faidley Seafood makes all crab cakes by hand. This attention to detail and consistency is the main reason they are "Award Winning".

Fact Two
Faidley's uses only the best and freshest grade of jumbo lump crabmeat available. Great pride is taken in the fact that each pound of crabmeat used must pass the inspection process of Nancy and Bill Devine.

Fact Three
Faidley's will ship only fresh crab cakes. Because each crab cake is freshly made to order for each shipment they are not shipped frozen. To ensure that you are serving a quality product, order them only when you know that you will be using them soon after delivery. Faidley's will package crab cakes for shipment either pre-cooked or uncooked. Simple cooking and heating instructions are included with your shipment. If shipped uncooked, they can be baked, broiled or fried. If shipped cooked, they will be lightly fried and can be heated in the oven or microwave.

Fact Four
Faidley's will only ship in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Specially designed insulated packaging with frozen gel packs is used for shipment. Faidley's will ship crab cakes to your destination Monday through Friday by UPS Next Day Air. Shipping charges are based on the weight of the package and the shipping zone. There are additional charges for Saturday delivery and some shipping dates may be effected by weather and holiday schedules. Faidley's will use Federal Express for individuals with their own corporate account numbers.

Fact Five
A complete order will include the cost of crab cakes, the cost of the packaging and the cost of shipping. Because each shipping zone assigned by UPS has a different rate, Faidley's cannot quote one set order rate.

Fact Six
The recipient of the shipping order must be available to accept delivery. Orders cannot be shipped to a PO Box. Because Faidley's ships only next day air and the product is perishable, the shipping companies require that the recipient sign for the delivery. Faidley's is not responsible for any shipment that is not claimed in a timely manner nor is undeliverable because of purchaser's address errors or the shipment mistakes.

Fact Seven
If you stop in at Faidley's in Baltimore, Maryland, Bill and Nancy Devine can also package the award winning jumbo lump crab cake "to go". Whether you are traveling by car, train or plane you can take them with you rather than ship.
